Last Updated: December 2025

Propane Depot is committed to delivering your order safely and efficiently. This policy outlines our shipping, delivery, and pickup procedures.

1. Shipping Areas

  • We currently ship within Canada only.

  • Propane tanks and certain regulated or hazardous products are available only for local delivery or in-store pickup within approved service areas.

  • Delivery options may be limited or unavailable for some remote locations.

2. Fulfillment Methods

Local Delivery

  • Available for propane tanks, bulk tanks, and larger appliances within select service regions.

  • Deliveries are scheduled by our team.

  • A person 18 years of age or older must be present at the time of delivery.

Carrier Shipping

  • Accessories, torches, regulators, hoses, and smaller appliances may be shipped using trusted carriers such as Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx.

  • Carrier availability depends on product type, size, and destination.

In-Store Pickup

  • Free in-store pickup is available at select Propane Depot locations (Burnaby and Surrey, BC).

  • Customers will be notified when their order is ready for pickup.

3. Processing & Delivery Times

  • Most orders are processed within 2–5 business days.

  • Delivery timelines vary by product, location, and fulfillment method.

  • Estimated delivery dates provided at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

  • Delays may occur due to weather conditions, inspections, inventory availability, or carrier issues.

4. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping and delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on product size, weight, destination, and delivery method.

  • Oversized, heavy, or regulated products (including propane tanks) may require additional handling or delivery fees.

  • Promotional free-shipping offers apply only to eligible products and regions, as stated.

5. Hazardous & Regulated Goods (Propane Tanks)

  • Propane tanks are regulated under Transport Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

  • Filled propane tanks cannot be shipped by standard courier services and are available only for local delivery or in-store pickup.

  • Empty propane tanks may also be subject to delivery restrictions based on size and destination.

  • Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable local regulations regarding transport, storage, and use of propane products.

6. Risk of Loss & Ownership

  • Ownership of products transfers to the customer once the order is handed to the carrier or successfully delivered via local delivery or pickup.

  • Propane Depot is not responsible for delays, damages, or losses caused by third-party carriers.

7. Delivery Restrictions

  • We do not deliver to PO boxes.

  • A recipient must be present to accept delivery of propane tanks, appliances, or other restricted items.

  • Failed or missed deliveries may result in additional re-delivery or restocking fees.

8. Order Tracking & Notifications

  • For carrier-shipped orders, tracking details will be emailed once the order has shipped (where available).

  • For local deliveries, our team will contact you directly to coordinate and confirm delivery scheduling.
